It’s time for the annual “Rugby 101” — a combination of an open house, an open casting call, and an intro on how the game is played, sponsored by Pink Flamingos, “Baltimore’s gayest, friendliest, and most assuredly hottest rugby team.” Join the Flamingos on February 16th, 1 pm, at Utz Field at Patterson Park (200 South Linwood Avenue, Baltimore). The park is south of the swimming pool and tennis courts, and east of the dog park. Make sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting sweaty and dirty, cleats or sneakers, and bring water to drink. “Don’t be worried that you were the last to get picked for dodgeball,” say organizers. “Camaraderie and fun are half the game. Come eager to learn, and you might just make some friends along the way.”
Afterwards, at 3:30 pm. join the Flamingos at the 101 at Leon’s Pub (870 Park Avenue) for more fun and socializing. Come sweaty and dirty and have some beer and food. For more info visit Bit.ly/31EUxnK.
