The location of the 3rd Annual Keystone State Gay rodeo has been changed to: Red Man Ranch and Arena, 359 Strawberry road, New Freedom PA 17349

The third annual Keystone State Gay Rodeo rides into action October 12th starting at 11:30 am at Spring Valley County Park (9777 Crest Road, Glen Rock, Pennsylvania). Spring Valley County Park is located two miles off Interstate 83 in Southern York County. The event is a family-friendly, inclusive rodeo and country event that merges traditional rodeo favorites with some non-traditional fun and hilarious events all in a safe and inviting atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. Both men and women compete equally in all rodeo events and anyone ages 12 and over are welcome to compete.

If you are attending you can expect to see some traditional rodeo events such as bull riding, barrel racing, and calf roping and some unique rodeo events, such as goat dressing, the wild drag race and steer decorating. Goat Dressing is a team-relay race to put underwear on a goat; steer decorating is a team event to get a 400-to-500 pound steer under control and tie a ribbon around its tail, and the wild drag race is a three person team event to get a 400-to-500 pound steer under control, then get a drag queen up on its back and get that combination across the finish line. Make sure that you bring your camera and capture these unique events!

This year’s rodeo will feature a new unique hilarious event – High Heeled Goat Dressing! Competitors will be teaming up to get their goat under control, get a pair of underwear on them all while in their three-inch heels. The team that can do that the fastest wins. Anyone is welcome to compete in this event, no experience needed and teams can sign-up the day of the rodeo. Bring your own heels or use some at the rodeo. There will be some heels available for those who need them.

Want to help? The rodeo is looking for volunteers and sponsors. Sponsorship starts at $25 and all sponsorships are 100% tax deductible. Volunteers are asked to work for four hours and get a volunteer t-shirt.
