Much fun will be had on Friday, August 9th, at an entertainment fundraiser for the Baltimore Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP), with doors opening at 8:30 pm at Metro Gallery (1700 North Charles Street, Baltimore).
The Sex Workers Outreach Project is a national social justice network dedicated to the rights of people involved in the sex trade and their communities, focusing on ending violence and stigma through education and advocacy. On the national level, SWOP helps with technical assistance, funding, and direct support. On the local level, their chapters address violence faced by individuals in the sex trade. SWOP works to change attitudes, change policies, and create alternative community-led systems of support. To learn more, visit Facebook.com/SWOPBaltimore, or Baltimore.swopusa.org.
Event entertainment will include performances by the Fun Boys, Ten Million Spiders, and Pluot; a DJ set by Dizzygoticc; and tarot readings by Tyler Vile.
