On Sunday, March 1st, the Kinetics Dance Theatre will bring to life the classic tale of Peter & the Wolf, with an original Family Concert Production. Performing at the Howard County Center for the Arts (1 and 3 pm), the symphonic fairytale for children is a musical composition written by Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev. This modern dance is perfect for the whole family.

Geared toward young audiences, and featuring the dancers of the professional company, the production weaves together masterful original choreography by Alex J. Krebs and vibrant costumes all set to Prokofievs magnificent musical score.

Audiences of all ages are invited to come and meet precocious Peter and his wise old grandfather, the wily wolf, the clever bird, the sly cat, and the waddling duck. The characters and story of Peter & the Wolf will delight the entire family.

Peter & the Wolf is part of Kinetics Dance Theatres annual family concert series, designed to make professional modern dance accessible to young audiences. These productions tell stories through dance and are crafted with sophisticated choreography, imaginative props, and vivacious costumes and music to result in a rich arts experience for the whole family.
