Emerge Baltimore

This exhibition series presented by The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA) is made possible through the generous support of the Maryland State Arts Council. This series will feature the work of 10 emerging Baltimore-based artists working in mediums from glass and acrylic to metal and fiber throughout 2022. Summer of Soul B-Side

Welcome to the B-Side! The B-Side runs from 11:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. in the same space as the Baltimore Farmers’ Market — underneath the Jones Falls Expressway at Holliday & Saratoga streets. After the regular Market, enjoy an afternoon of food & drink vendors and a free performance showcase featuring Baltimore musicians, comedians, DJs and more. The Summer of Soul edition on July 3, 2022, will be hosted by local MC and hip-hop frontman Eze Jackson and feature a powerhouse lineup of funkadelic performances.

Fourth of July Fireworks

Starting at 3:00 p.m. there will be food & drink trucks, selfie stations and more at West Shore Park. At 4:00 p.m. listen to the traditional performance by the Navy Band Commodores at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater. After the concert, there will be street performers and activities along the promenade. BSO Artistic Partner and Baltimorean Wordsmith will deliver a spoken word performance of Frederick Douglass’ “What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?” at 7:30 p.m. Then at 8:00 p.m., the BSO will host a Star-Spangled Celebration concert under the baton of Assistant Conductor Jonathan Rush. At the intersection of art and sciences lies Voyages, an original immersive event series at the National Aquarium that inspires connection to nature and celebrates all things Baltimore.
